Powerful, it can handle most jobs.
Quality of the holding pin is poor I had mine 1 month and it failed, also the bracket isn't designed very well, it's not easy to re-position at all. Also the power switch is to easy to accidently flick off when in use. Also badly situated. Very heavy indeed, extremely loud and vibrates like heck.

Well built, I've had a black and decker 4" grinder for 23 years. It's been utterly used and abused and never ever let me down. I've bought the 5" now to save swapping discs. I keep a grinding disc on one and a cutting disc on the other.
The rocking switch is a bit fiddly and takes some getting used to, and knocks off a bit easily when not being constantly pressed, this is a safety feature presumably to ensure the grinder switches off if dropped, or if it jams. The ability to take your finger off the switch is particularly useful though, as it allows you to quickly modify your grip and grinding angle to follow the shape of your workpiece.
