DIY enthusiasts and professional tradesmen in the North East will now be able to purchase discounted consumer and professional power tools direct from Black & Decker® Spennymoor plant.
Black & Decker® is opening the new Factory Outlet store within its Spennymoor manufacturing site. The store will be owned and commercially managed by Black & Decker®, and will sell Black & Decker® and DEWALT® reconditioned product as well as offer after sales service and repairs.
The store will open to the general public on the 11th June 2003 from 9.30am to 5.30pm, 5 days a week Tuesday to Saturdays.
The store will carry products returned to Black & Decker® or DEWALT® (Black & Deckers professional brand) by retail customers, along with discontinued ranges which will be sold at reduced prices.
Before being made available for sale, all products are subjected to stringent performance and safety tests through the Black & Decker workshops and are accompanied with a full guarantee.
In addition the Factory Outlet will offer a repair service for both Black & Decker® and DEWALT® product.
The new store takes advantage of the location of all European reconditioning activities at Black&Decker® Spennymoor and will employ three people.
