I am currently in the process of bringing my stairs back to the original wood and stripping the old paint, this helps me achieve that.

Overall the heat gin is a good piece of equipment - it does what is should do. Having a trigger is a simple method of control which not all guns offer. The gun seems to be well built although I have owned it for only a few weeks so time will tell how long it will last. Having said that, the unit it replaced, a Black and Decker HG991 lasted 34 years so I am fairly confident that it will operate for as long as I need it to.
The supplied tools are not as robust as the ones I have from my old heat gun and, unfortunately, the old ones do not fit the new model. Also, the 2000W has no loop at the rear from which it can be hung when it is hot. I found this very useful on my old gun. However, it can sit on its rear with its nozzle in the air so this format achieves a similar purpose.

Value for money. A decent range of features for not very much outlay.
Although there have been no issues as of yet, the build quality does feel slightly inferior to that other makes at a similar price point (Bosch, for example).
